Small kids should check out KidsLab, our multi-sensory play area, or our collection of thousands of wooden building blocks.

NEW Festival Saturdays
Second Saturday of each monthCome and experience a "Festival" of science with hands-on table top activities! Explore the magic of electricity, uncover the mysteries of the fossil past or create works of art with math! Festival Saturdays will inspire and excite you about science!

Tornado Alley 3-D Film
Multiple shows dailyTornado Alley follows Storm Chasers star Sean Casey and the scientists of VORTEX2, the largest tornado-research project ever assembled, on their epic missions to witness the birth of a tornado.

Animal Discovery Room
Hold and touch gentle animals, and learn about the behavior and habitats of exotic species. You may even learn something new about yourself. Our staff can answer questions you have about the animals that live here.

Planetarium
Explore the skies in our Planetarium, a 45-seat geodesic dome outfitted with a digital projection system. Our interactive programs explore space travel, constellations, planets and their moons, and our Solar System.

Ingenuity Lab
Learn how engineers and scientists approach problems and discover new ways of doing things. In our lab you’ll work directly with Cal Engineering students to brainstorm ideas, build a prototype, and test your design as you work to solve a specific engineering challenge.
Saturday Night Stargazing

Stargazing
The Hall's plaza is the perfect place to break out your telescopes for a closer look at the moon, planets, stars, and galaxies. Bring your friends and family to stargaze at the Hall.
